Yep. And the start of the longest World Series drought until now. I remember the Yanks adding Steve Kemp and Ken Griffey Sr. too. Kemp seemed liked a good idea at the time, but it just didn't work out. That team had Jerry Mumphrey in CF and John Mayberry at first. Roger Ericson was one of the starting pitchers. Murcer and Piniella and Nettles at the end of the line. Bad times. Like now. |
