The Yankees have to be the worst first inning team in baseball this season.

According to ESPN, guess which Yankee leads the team in overall WAR (offense and defense) with 3.3? Volpe? … We have a winner! Volpe just edged above Judge during this series. Volpe was at 3.2 and Judge at 3.3, but they have switched places. Obviously, Judge missing 50 games is the reason he doesn't have double that number. Everyone else, though, it has been the poor level of play.

Rodon looking like another quality Cashman signing. Apparently not getting any help, though.

According to ESPN, guess which Yankee leads the team in overall WAR (offense and defense) with 3.3? Cole? Cole leads the team at 5.2, but I should have said position players. Interestingly, the pitcher who is second to Cole is Ian Hamilton at 1.8.

Bader has a terrible arm. He bounced that throw off-line to third, and he was nearly in the infield when he let it go. A decent throw and Ricearoni was dead to rights. Instead, he scores. I hope they don't resign Bader.

Obviously, Judge missing 50 games is the reason he doesn't have double that number. Everyone else, though, it has been the poor level of play. They must not be counting pitchers, because Cole's WAR is over 5, best among all AL pitchers.
