Hope you were able to take advantage of the unplanned day off Rizz. Spent it in bed, in an out of consciousness. In between, watched an episode of Gunsmoke, listened to a podcast, cooked myself a steak. I meant to go get some ice cream, but I feel asleep. Not bad for a Monday. |

Sevy had to have been tipping his pitches, and it just took the Yankees most of the season to recognize what he was doing and correct it.

Sevy had to have been tipping his pitches, and it just took the Yankees most of the season to recognize what he was doing and correct it. That’s as good a hypothesis as any. He never lost velocity. If other teams were picking up on it but the Yankees weren't, that's not a good look. |

If other teams were picking up on it but the Yankees weren't, that's not a good look. Verlander helped out Cole recently. Austin and Chicken Parm fetched around Volpe. Certainly not votes of confidence for the Yankee braintrust. |

Glad they fixed it and glad you got an off day out of it! I am too. I've been extremely tired lately and had a headache most of the day. Does anyone have an inkling of what turned Sevy around? He went from the worst pitcher in MLB back to throwing up goose-eggs. He still seemed to have velo, but was lacking command. I think he just came back too soon, even though he (and we) were anxious to get him back. Whether we can say Boone/Cashman were patient with him, or if desperation paid off, what turned him around was time. He got his rhythm back. He knows where the ball is going now… |
