25th HR for Gleyber! Yet people want to get rid of him. When he gets in those pull happy slumps, hitting into double plays, getting caught unaware on the bases, and booting the ball around the infield - I must say his exit is definitely on my mind. If he could just be more of a thinker at the plate and on the bases, he could be an all-star every year.

Walk to Volpe. Two on for Higgy.

Walk to Volpe. Two on for Higgy. Higgy was swinging the bat pretty well when they pulled up the kids.

Baez was always an athletic shortstop, he just swings at air most of the time.

Stupid DP. Nearly hit into two of them that inning, but Higgy was running down the line.

Another example of why I have problems with Higgy et al behind the plate - too many fastballs up and away. Eventually, the batter will take it the other way. Have to go back inside or change speeds or go low with something else.

Dominguez seems comfortable in centerfield, checking for the wall but still being able to relocate the baseball on the fly.

Rodon needs a third pitch. He's got one, he just needs to throw it. Professional athletes are the most hard-headed individuals there are, especially successful ones. It takes them a long time to realize they need to change something. They fall in love with certain pitches because it worked so well in the past.

Volpe looked to shovel the ball to second but Gleyber was nowhere to be found. Gotta love Torres when he hits, though.
