The Sausage King works around a single through If I recall clearly, king became a reliever because he had missed some time with an injury and was on a pitch count. Then, as a reliever he was almost super-human. The only flaw was that Boone decided he shouldn’t appear on back to back days. Then, he had a bit of a hiccup, slumping through a few outings. I doubt the Yankees would have attempted putting him back in at starting role if he hadn’t stopped bailing them out in any inning they needed him. But… I think starting is where he belongs… |

The Yankees have ignored defense a lot during the Boone era just to give a player a half day off at DH and it's hurt them many, many times.

If Judge is in RF, that's just a flyout. Instead it's 2-0. If any real RF is out there that’s an out. When your DH has rigor mortis and you decide to play him in RF because he has a fantasy that it will make hit better, but he keeps batting .200 anyway… you deserve what you get… |
