I'm glad to see Wells get positive recognition. Seems to be working hard on the D, although he may never have a strong arm. A lefthanded bat at catcher who could hit would be really nice. I'm interested to see how he and Trevino split time.

Welcome to the board qwik!
As a longtime lurker at the YESboards, I'm familiar with your posts and very happy you've decided to join us here.
I agree with you on Dominguez being the number one prospect even with the TJ surgery. I was not aware that he cut his K rate so dramatically after the break. Hopefully he keeps those gains next year. Boone said a spot for him on the big league club is not guaranteed so he may have to work himself back. At least the days of trotting Bauers and McKinney in the OF seem to be over.
One question: Is it permissible to post the whole article on this platform? Some boards do not permit the posting of the whole article.
Yes, whole articles are fine as long as you link the article's url as well.

Jiminy Crickets! A new poster! Welcome! … Thanks for the welcome. Hi my friend. Kind of weird that Jones and Wells are rated ahead of The Martian and Pereira is rated so low. The Martian showed that he has talent. But hey, if Jones and Wells are rated ahead of him that good news for the Yankees. The Yankees will have a great future lineup if the Martian, Jones and Wells reach their potential.

The Yankees probably keep the veteran Trevino. Just my guess...But maybe the Yankees start the season platooning Trevino and Wells with Wells eventually becoming the full time Catcher.

I hope we don't see a repeat scenario like when Posada first came up and Torre kept playing Girardi because he was the trusty veteran, although Jorge was the better all around player. Well's lefthanded power bat would be a huge addition to the lineup.

Longerhagen is right on the money far more often that not, but the continued low number on Dominguez' hit tool...might be out of date. His game changed at the all-star break last season, and he cut his K rate basically in half from what it was before the break. When that happened, his power dropped slightly but his batting soared. I'm a lot more solid that he's going to be a valuable everyday player, if not a star, than I was before last season started. Like others above, I think he, and not Jones, is the Yanks' current #1 prospect. Jones has the same hit tool question mark now that Dominguez did before last season, at least for me. I hope to contribute here as I did there, though probably not as often.

They also need to convert Ben Rice into a first baseman. Welcome vtfan! I hope Ben Rice can be an option at 1st if Rizzo is not recovered from his concussion issues. There have been several reports that Rizzo is feeling good and no longer has symptoms. Hope that is the case and he returns to form but considering how the Yanks have handled and reported on injuries it's ok to be a bit skeptical.

This was Rizzo's slash line on May 28th: .304/.376/.505/
Those are All Star numbers, then he ran into Tatis Jr.

Or maybe convert Wells to 1B to make room for Rice to catch…
