Excellent! In my opinion, he should still be the manager, because he was the best when it came to managing the Yankees Bullpen.

Girardi worked a lot of games for the Cubs last year. I wonder why he didn't come back?

was great during his other broadcasting stints. he'll be a plus in the booth. now as a former manager, will interesting to see what insights he has to offer and whether he questions any of boone's moves (doubtful).

I was just thinking with Girardi coming back to YES, what's that mean for the other announcers? Is someone else not coming back or decreasing their working schedule?

My guess is O'Neill wants to cut back a bit, if not completely. He was OK broadcasting from home, but he's got one foot out the door by the 7th if he has to actually be at YS.

I miss all the O'Neill and Cone games we used to get before David landed the ESPN job.

I liked Girardi both as an announcer and a manager. I wonder if he will be able to remain objective when discussing Boone's moves? ------Oburg Bob

With the pitch clock, who has time to say anything useful?

Girardi was good when he was on YES during the earlier days of the network. I think it was like 2004-05 and then 2007.
He's somehow the opposite personality on TV. He's good enough to be Kay's co-pilot, but I think he wants to only cover a handful of games.
