I'm at work and can't watch, did he think it was gone? Yes ... and then slow jogged for a few. I personally dont care about that stuff ... it happens everywhere. If you benched every player that did that, you wouldn't have a team left.

He probably should have ran out of the box but I'm so excited to have him on the team, I'll forgive him. He was still faster than Stanton running hard

I left to go take a walk but looks like the bench players came in and scored a bunch of runs. Vivas hit another HR. We could have something here with him.

Watched Yankee Spring Training for many years. It's my impression that they have more young quality players at the lower levels who look like they can contribute at some point than I've seen in the past.

I've noticed some of these younger guys are having very nice ABs ... Taking close pitches and working counts and going the other way. Couple who I've been focusing on Rice, Lombard Jr , and Vivas have really stood out as far as quality abs and swings Also not a young guy but Rizzo has been having very nice abs which is really encouraging

Final line for Nestor: 2.2 IP, 7 hits, 0 BB, 4 Ks, 2 ERs. Watching the replay, I thought Nestor pitched better than his line score. He has some bad luck with seeing eye hits and some shaky defense behind him. Poteet looked good too, could be a good behind the scenes signing by Cashman.

[br Seeing eye or not , 7 hits on 2 innings isnt good at all . He was very hittable today .

First outing for Nestor, so needs some grace/leeway...shaking off rust and all that...but he was allowing a lot of contact today. Hopefully he tightens it up as spring progresses.

First outing, third outing, whichever. It’s always encouraging when the pitching is good. But we tend to be overly forgiving in the early stages of spring and also overmy encouraged by the good. All we can do is watch and wait…

All we can do is watch and wait… Nestor pitches well when he deceives. I don't think a ST game coming after an injury season is where he's going to show his best deception. Unfortunately, he's going to be a huge question mark until we see him actually out there trying to win games.
