From the athletic... New York Yankees — Nick Burdi, RHP
Age: 31 Height: 6-3 Weight: 225
It’s not often a 31-year-old journeyman-type pitcher stands out in spring training but that’s what Burdi has done this spring with the Yankees. His stuff is overpowering but he’s rarely been healthy over the past decade; when he has pitched, he’s logged high strikeout and walk rates. He has a 98 to 100 mph fastball from a lower arm slot to go with a slider and changeup. He’s had two Tommy John surgeries and a surgery to address thoracic outlet syndrome, so health concerns will always be there, but he’s struck out seven and walked one in three innings this spring as he tries to win a spot in the bullpen.
Aaron Boone, manager: “Burdi has ridiculously great stuff. The only question is, can he put it all together and stay healthy? If he can, watch out!”

Yep...had a very bright future before the injury. Looks like he's primarily been playing LF/RF and a little 1B. I always felt 1B would be the best fit for him. '16 Fall Stars Game...

Has anyone heard why Michael "The Falafel" King has only pitched in two games this spring? He's thrown 5 innings with 4 strikeouts and has yet to surrender a run with a 0.00 ERA.
"Last season, King and Max Scherzer were the only two pitchers in the Majors who posted a strikeout rate of 26% or higher on as many as four different pitch types (minimum 50 plate appearances ending on that pitch type)."

He was as reliable and versatile a reliever as we have had in a long time - he could close and give you multiple innings, get a ground ball or a strikeout. And, from all accounts, a favorite in the clubhouse.

Didn't see any injury news for King when I searched. Just building him up slowly I guess.
