Snell is probably a luxury we can't afford, especially if we plan to resign Soto. I'd trade Glyber by the trade deadline also, if one of the kids on the farm looks ready. I'm excited about Warren and Hampton. They may be ready to fill a starting spot sometime this season. Wouldn't it be great to develop our own ace?

When I look at Snell I cannot help but notice the years he pitched and did not win a CY. They are numerous and very ordinary. I doubt he has another CY in him. The Yankees cannot pay for a # 1 starter to get no more than a replacement for German. At this leate date I'd pass and save my assets for a deadline trade. The Yankees blew it when they did not add a depth arm earlier in free agency.

If this team is a true contender, I don't think trading Gleyber is going to happen. They'll keep him and go all in to win.
I wouldn't sign Snell either.

It appears he’s a Yankee for the duration of 2024. As far as beyond that, I’m trying to figure out if the world is going to end before or after the World Series and elections this year. If it does, that will simplify a lot of decisions, like Soto for instance…and whether or not we should replace the bedroom flooring…

I swear you people are a riot . Dont want to trade for guys because of the potential cost and dont want to sign anyone . And yet you want them to go all in for a championship. I dont see anything wrong with signing snell as long as its not much more than what they offered . There is no reason for them to cave into his demands , noone else has even offered him anything

There is no reason for them to cave into his demands , noone else has even offered him anything We made an offer which has been withdrawn at this point because of the delta between that offer and what Snell/Boras want. If Snell came back to us and decided to take the offer the Yanks drew up, or even a high dollar one year or two make good offer, I think everyone here would want to sign him. They risk of a nine year contract for an injury prone inconsistent performer is what I don’t want. Besides, he looks like he’s already dead. He should wear makeup or something so he would frighten the children in the stands…

Not thumbing your nose at every option . Righr now the options are snell and bieber . That is it . If you are going all in then you go with the cy young winner at a reasonable deal like i previously said

But i would for 6 years , maybe 7 if there is an opt out
