So then: Is it Monty? Will he even come back? Is it Snell? If it is, which Snell is he? I’m thinking maybe Cash goes under cover here and we trade for a younger pitcher with some control and a bit lower expectations but great potential. Bring back the game Cashman. It needn’t be half-worn out old game. Get a young one… And don’t forget we have Warren and Gil… Warren and Gil will be needed for sure, even if in the bullpen. Snell rejected his qualifying offer, so he will cost draft picks and international free agent money. Plus, he just walks so many batters, which is why he's a five inning pitcher. Cashman's ego might be in the way to admit he was wrong about Monty being able to pitch in the playoffs, and there is no guarantee Monty doesn't have a sour taste in his mouth about how he was treated by Boone and his intermittent 4.2 innings limit. I am not sure how much gil can be counted on in the majors when he is currently building his arm strength . I think as of now they have to count mainly on warren.

o This is my official return to re-engaging you in conversation. I hope it’s a pleasure. What is Monty’s price? I honestly don’t know… I’d rather sign him than Snell because I’d rather have his consistency… Last i saw he wants similar money to rodon . While i dont think he is worth that , after what guys like giolito and sevy got per year , i do not think monty is worth much less than what rodon got. I mean there arent many starters that can give the innings that monty can . That seems reasonable to me. I would hope that he and Snell have been working out and either could ramp up quickly, but I remember cases in the past, Vida Blue in particular, where hold outs haven’t done well catching up…

That also happened to Nestor as well. By the way, J.P. Sears this spring: 2.08 ERA, 13.0 innings, 3 ER, 1 BB, 15 Ks, 0.69 WHIP .170 BA against.

I totallt get why snell isnt signed yet . What he is asking for is crazy . He is worth neither the years or money he is asking

Oh yea, I say it won't be easy for Hal, but in my opinion it should be. This is an all in year with Soto. Open your wallet. Wallets. I wonder if Hal reuses tea bags? That could offset his expenditures. Make the players pay for the after game buffets or sign-up for pot-lucks. Volpe and Wells can bring the chicken parm and garlic bread after opening day.

He did-ent. Yes he did. You knew he would… But seriously, I really did like him…

By the way, Luis Severino has a 1.00 ERA for the Mets this spring with 9 innings pitched, 8 strikeouts, and a WHIP of 0.56.

Gleyber sitting on fastball after two nasty sliders from Priester. Double to center!

No one is picking up that slider from Priester, who has the Yankees collared.

Weather delay? I’m getting the Michael Kay show… I just had to break out my credit card, guess I used up the free trial period. Well, I'm good for the season, except when they play Houston or Texas.
