I don't think I've seen a game thread this long. Nice! Wait ‘til Rizzuto gets home from work. He’s going to love this! … And I’m sure Chiyankee will eat it up, too. One of the best parts of retirement is not having to miss any games other than for a few other things I need to do. (Or sneak home early, or for a long “lunch”… I got home and saw the final two innings. Hamilton looked good as the 8th inning guy. |

I'll try to find a pirated link for everyone. But I will miss the beginning of the game as I will be out for dinner. Which Michelin Star joint this time? Just local. Cheesecake Factory. Meeting some friends to break fast.
But next Tuesday and Wednesday will be going to NYC. I'll let you know which Michelin Star joints we visit then.  |

Nice comeback win… Soto’s my POG! Was getting frustrating with all the dip’s and leaving bases loaded. Minute Maid Park is a house of horrors. Great to start a 4 games series with a win.  |

Nice comeback win… Soto’s my POG! Was getting frustrating with all the dip’s and leaving bases loaded. Minutemaid stadium is a house of horrors. Great to start a 4 games series with a win. Hard to believe, but the Yanks have won 4 straight in the Juice Box. |

Minutemaid stadium is a house of horrors. Great to start a 4 games series with a win. Hard to believe, but the Yanks have won 4 straight in the Juice Box. And six straight postseason losses there. Any win is Houston is nice, but I'd like a little more success there in the postseason, assuming the Yankees get there. |

I still think one more starter wouldn't hurt though worked out today but can't always get behind that much and come back either without blowing the bullpen

Got a very good jump on the ball...much tougher play for a LH. Judge wasn't even in the picture. Had that ball gotten by Verdugo Altuve would've scored and Tucker would've at least been on 2nd with one out. Not a web gem, but a very nice play at a critical time in the game. |

Even if Verdugo is just a 2 WAR player in left, your basic average MLB starter, that's still 5 1/2 WAR better than last year's collection of misfit toys, which was -3.4 WAR for the season. A 5 WAR pickup in left, Judge in center for most of the season (vs. himself, Bader and assorted flotsam and jetsam) is worth another 4-5 WAR at least, and Soto in right over Judge (part-time) and pot luck is another 5-6 WAR. Might be enough to make up for Cole. |
