Wells gets under a low curve to medium left, Gurriel catches, Verdugo tags, and the throw home is so bad it not only lets Verdugo score without a play, but Volpe followed the throw home to 2nd, and scores on the wild throw home!
5-0 Yanks!!

Qwik, what kind of pen do the D-Backs have? Pretty good last year, or they wouldn't have gone far in the postseason. But their closer, Sewald is out for a month at least. Kyle Nelson, a middle reliever, comes in and get Cabrera to pop up to end the 3rd. Bottom 3, 5-0 Yanks. |
