Looking at the wheels...I'm not so certain they're safe from falling off. They're not. D'backs can hit. And run. High FB hit to deep left, Verdugo back to the track and catches, McCarthy scores, perdomo holds 2nd Carroll takes a ball, then rolls over on a change, grounds it to Torres, two down as Perdomo goes to 3rd. |

Gurriel takes a FB down the middle for a strike.
FB waist high, outside corner is strike 2.
Need a good slider here.
Well, never mind, as he rears back and throws a 99 FB waist high, outside by 3 inches, and blows it by Gurriel for the K
Very impressive comeback by Gil after the two hits and wild pitch, got the last 3 hitters out on just 9 pitches, threw 16 in the 3rd and is at 51 through 3. Top 4, Yanks up, 5-1
Outside chance Gil can finish 5 innings with the lead in just 85 pitches and qualify for the W.

Gil got back into a rhythm on the last two batters. Looked much smoother. Fifty-one pitches after three innings.

Slider bounced 2-2
Hanging slider down the middle hammered to center for a single
Man on 1st, nobody out for Soto
Takes a strike, they fouls off a FB up in the zone, and from his reaction, he thinks he should have hit that one out

Slider maybe got a piece of the low outside corner, and surprisingly Vanover gives Soto a tough ꓘ.
