High slider into the zone up/away, rolled over to Rizzo, flips to Holmes as Barossa gets to 3rd with 1 down.

Sinker low, fouled
Sinker is a routine grounder to short, and OH SPIT, volpe rushes the throw, pulls Rizzo off, he tags him on the helmet but the ball is knocked loose, Barossa scores, and perdomo takes 2nd as the ball got away.
Yanks lead in trouble now with Marte and Carroll due in. Holmes sinker can't really go up and in to lefties without hitting.
Volpe's rushed throw might cost the Yanks the game.

No, it's not smart Coney. A single to the outfield gets the tying run to scoring poisition, a double in one of the huge gaps probably wins the game for the D'backs.

I hope Holmes has a pitch he can get Carroll with
sinker chopped high over the mound, Volpe has to come way in from playing deep, he barehands but his throw is on target and not in time
