excellent start by stroman. bullpen gave this one away. of course it's moot if you don't score.
despite the 6-1 road trip. the offense has been struggling and if u shut down soto, you shut us down. only player having consistent ABs is volpe. some of the wins were smoke & mirrors and the ball bouncing our way. a number of guys have to get untracked. oh well the sun comes out tomorrow ...

This is going to be a fun year with some bad games. We need to hope the injuries don't add up. Slim Stanton still is a bust and Nestor looks cooked. We need some young guys to step up and the Vets to have good years.

I put a good share of Burdi’s performance on Boone. He’s not the guy to bring into a high pressure situation with two runners on that just can’t be allowed to score.
Boone knows what he brings to the table, which is overpowering stuff that can be wild. He needs to start clean innings unless the game is a blow out. Fifth, sixth, seventh innings with no one on or not a close game. Poor situational choice…
I still like Burdi and hope he’s not vilified or sent down for this one game…

Judge is starting to work his ABs better, just need him to get his timing down. That should come on very soon because we're going on game 9. Need him to start mashing.
Stanton is useless and just wasted ABs. How long of a leash does Boone give him? I don't care how big his paycheck is, if he's not providing anything of substance, you have to find an alternative...especially in a primo spot in the lineup.
Continue to be thrilled with Volpe. He's playing really well and is clearly our best hitter right now.
Not gonna rush to judgement on many other guys. It's just the start of the season's second week. But we need these guys to wake up.
