Can I be a "Jeterian God"? It's easy, jeep. All you gotta do is show up in enough game threads, and never shut up, like some other idiot who insists on "calling" the game. You'll quickly advance through the ranks and become not just a "Jeterian God" but a Ruthian Immortal in just a week or two. Thank You!

I'd be loving this 100% if Luzardo wasn't one of my starters in my fantasy league. OK, so I'm loving it just 95%. Can you dump him? He’s lost a tick on his FB. Regressing or maybe injured… You might be right, but unfortunately, we play "old school" rules; there are daily moves, but you can't drop a player unless he goes on the IL, gets traded to the AL, sent to the minors, DFAed or waivesd.

Thanks for catching that, Pipps! One of those daydreaming songs from my youth (8 years old). Sammy Kershaw covered it, incidentally. Yep, that was from early 75. Other songs around that time were "Kung Fu Fighting" and Bungle In The Jungle" and "Junior's Farm" and "Dark Horse" and "Pick Up The Pieces." He never had another hit song. A "Wrecking Crew" studio song. It was actually re-released in 1975. Originally the song was released on the Samuel Johns's debut album in 1973. (Wikipedia, not from memory, btw)

Stanton swings under a FB a bit up and in for a K, 1 down.

Nestor grills Burger for strike three. I knew you would relish an opportunity to say that. Well done. Oh! OH! OOOOHHHHH! …

Rizzo gets a FB just above and outside of middle, lines it to the right center gap but Garcia gets to it, 2 down.

Our YES board members are getting to see how the blowout games can become kind of free form around here.

What a rip off for Volpe…

Volpe hosed a second time, this time on a ball well inside that should have been ball four. Volpe has words for the home plate ump, and I don't blame him.

I don't know anything about this Maciejewski they just called up after sending Santana back down, but he might be considered for an inning in this game.
Volpe working a very long at bat here, 3-2 after 8 pitches. Cutter misses well inside, 3-5 inches, but called strike three, inning over. That's a "Don't complain after the first close bad call or I'll give you a ridiculous bad call" call.
Top 8, 7-0 Yanks.
