judge misses it. game over. one bad inning by stroman decides the game. great job the bullpen. other than volpe, soto & stanton, not much from the offense. 10-3. day off tomorrow. Volpe got on base three times, so he did well in the leadoff spot.

Yanks 0-7 with RISP, left 10 men on base, lose the game 5-2, but still take 2 of 3 from the Marlins, who are now 2-11.
Yanks have a day off tomorrow, then hit the road for three in Cleveland, then 3 in Toronto.
In the Guardians series:
Game 1 is Friday evening at 7:10 on YES...Clarke Schmidt vs. old vet Carlos Carrasco back with Cleveland again. Carrasco has 2 no-decisions in 2 starts with an ERA of 4.50 over 8 innings.
Game 2 is Saturday evening at 6:10, also on YES...Luis Gil vs. Triston McKenzie, he's 1-1 in 2 starts with an ERA of 4.00 in 9 innings.
The series finale is Sunday at 1:40 on YES...Nestor Cortes against Logan Allen (no, not that Logan Allen, the good one). Allen making his 4th start of the season already. He's 2-0 with a no-decision, and has an ERA of 4.60 over 15 2/3 innings.
===============
That's going to be it for me for tonight. Enjoy the off day, and I'll see you for Friday's game thread. Good night to all of you.
bye.

Anyone recall what year it was when Joe Torre's mantra was just win the series and IIRC, they only lost like 2 or 3 series all year?
