according to mlb.com, cody poteet pitching the 2nd game. hope gil is ok. Oh no! Little Poteet’s not going six innings! Never mind, my prediction was predicated on Gil-A-Monster! Probably Poteet for two and then have Gil take the game until the eighth. What a dumbass plan. If Poteet gets bombed, there is no way for Gil to carry the game to the back end guys. If Poteet strikes out the first six guys on 18 pitches for two immaculate innings, you reward him by pulling him out of the game and sending him back to MiLB. There was a death from a Gila Monster bite in New Mexico this year. First one in something like 34 years. Their toxin technically isn’t able to kill a human, but this particular man when into anaphylaxis and passed away… |

Sounds like the Yankees wanted to keep all five of the starters on a normal rotation and have to use any of them on short rest. The kid Warren is pitching for Scranton tonight, the Yankee could have had him start Game 2 tomorrow. |

The kid Warren is pitching for Scranton tonight, the Yankee could have had him start Game 2 tomorrow. And burn an option? Start his clock? Not them… |

Not them… Warren will be 25 in June so the heck with his clock. The would have to make room on the 40 man roster for him. |
