Ugh. Two straight days without Yankee baseball.
I wonder who the Yankees 27th man will be for the double header?

Split day-night DH, too. 1st game at 12:10 on YES; 2nd game at 6:10 also on YES.
Before the postponement it was supposed to be Schmidt vs. Carrasco tonight, and Gil vs. McKenzie tomorrow. It'll probably stay that way, but either team or both might switch the starters from the 1st to the 2nd game.
Try to enjoy the 2nd off day, and I'll see you bright and early tomorrow around noon.

With Schmidt and Gil going it's a good thing we can add another player and that we have a rested pen. Neither have gone very deep in games so far. We may need to get 8 or 10 innings from the pen tomorrow.

Postponements are always a drag, and Saturday DH ties a whole day up if you let it. Oh well. I’m recovering from yesterday still… and it’s a grand 66 degree here, so I’ll go wander around the back yard with my dog poop picking equipment…

so poteet is the 27th man. We had a substitute teacher in high school that was a Mr. Poteet. Young and slight of build, we put the poor man through some tough days because he came on like a disciplinarian…

If that's the plan, not a bad strategy IMO. I know how we got there but having Gil follow Schmidt in the rotation is not ideal unless one of them can figure out how to go a little bit deeper in games.

according to mlb.com, cody poteet pitching the 2nd game. hope gil is ok. Oh no! Little Poteet’s not going six innings! Never mind, my prediction was predicated on Gil-A-Monster!
