In case anyone is wondering, Soto has bunted the ball in play 18 times in his career, with 2 sacrifices and 11 (!) bunt singles. And 51/20 now stealing (71.8%)… |

Flats is right. Looking at the delayed steal again, it was a bad throw, but Gimenez made a great pick/tag to get the caught stealing.

3-2 pitch hit8s Freeman. 1st and 2nd, nobody out for Cortes, who's at 94 pitches now.
And the pitch actually hit the knob of the bat, so the HBP should be challenged and overturned, but instead, Boone takes Nestor out of the game.

Yanks use their best available non-Holmes righty, and bring Burdi into the game in the high leverage spot vs. Ramirez.
Ramirez has never faced Nardi.
A 'sort of" trivia. Andrew is the only the 2nd MLB player with the name Nardi, but that's sort of a cheat as the other one is Nardi Contreras.

Ramirez crushes a 1-0 slider down and in, but is early, and pulls it long and foul. 1-1
Don't scare me like that!!!
Low FB at 98 in the middle, popped in back of 3rd, Cabrera goes back, but Volpe has the angle, calls him off, gets there late and has to slide to catch. Infield fly, of course, but if he boots it, the runners can advance, possibly to score.
Naylor has faced Nardi once and K'd.

Bad slider inside of middle middle, hammered to the right of 2nd into right center for a hit. Kwan scores easily, and Freeman to 3rd with 1 down, game tied at 4. |
