Shout out to Kwik today for the job you do with the play by play. It’s easy to take you for granted, and I don’t want you to Feel that you are. I know I couldn’t do it. In fact, for many years when I first started posting in the Pinstripes Plus forums I refused to post in game threads because I thought it would hurt my focus on the game. It does a bit, but not as bad as I expected it would… Definitely! Qwik is awesome! |

Hangs the change, and Gil gets a gift, Turner misses and pops it up near the Yankee dugout, but Rizzo fails to get all the way there for no real reason, and it hits the railing in front of the dugout. That should have been the 2nd out, and Rizzo doesn't get an E, but that's a mental error at least.
Gets Turner to chase a change knee high but several inches outside for the K, 2 down.

Good evening, pres... Yanks catch Bichette leaning the wrong way, and Gil picks him off. Terrible blunder by Bichette with Gil struggling to throw strikes. Top 2, 0-0. That pickoff probably saved Gil 4-6 pitches as well. 20 in the first for Gil. Rizzo, Torres, Verdugo for the Yanks in the 2nd. |

Gil showed some mental toughness there, now needs one more out. Considering the trouble with command, the failure of Rizzo to catch that popup could have buried him that inning, but it didn't. |

1-1 sinker near middle, but Rizzo is late and under, fouls it off. That was a cookie you missed, Anthony.
Misses a FB above the waist, on the outside corner for the K, 1 down.
