Gil has certainly had trouble locating the 4-seamer but the infield defense continues to suck.

Low-bridges him with a FB at his legs. 1-1 FB in the middle near the top, fouled off, 1-2 FB about 4-5 inches high, chased and fouled off Wow. Biggio just stares at a 98 FB down the middle for the ꓘ. 2 down

Change down the middle, fouled off, bad location there. This is Kirk batting... Overthrows the FB high again, 1-1 Same thing at 95 instead of 97, 2-1. 71 pitches now. Slider down and in to the corner, rifled down the 3rd base line for a RBI double, 3-1 Jays.

It might have rolled but it was nowhere near the middle of the plate, Flats. They must have a broadcast angle that's well off the centerline on home, because Flats is miscalling location inside-outside by too much on too many pitches.

0-1 FB down the middle, and Varsho is late and under, pops foul to Cabrera near 3rd, inning over.
Top 4, 3-1 Jays. 23 pitches for Gil in the 3rd, 74 total. He MIGHT get through the 4th. Torres, Verdugo, Cabrera for the Yanks in the 4th.

Is that right? Sterling finally retired? You must of missed the Misc. Yankees thread. Yup, he's done. Not for health reasons, he's just tired. I understand what he’s saying. You just reach a point where you’re tired of something. His was the trip to and fro the stadium. Mine? Just could no longer put up with… almost anything… had it… Too many years on salary with long, long hours…

Rays lead the Angels 1-0 top 6 in Tampa. Eflin with a 3 hit shutout through 5. O's pounding the Twins 6-2 top 6 in Baltimore. O'Hearn and Mullins with HRs, Westburg has a 2 run double.
