Torres strikes again! Falefa steals 2nd, and Torres tries to tag before he has it, the ball gets away, allowing Clement to score without a play, Scored and E-2, but that's a physical and mental error on Torres. Springer walks, and her comes Guerrero with 1st and 2nd, 1 down, to deliver the coup de grace.

Torres taketh away and he giveth also. Chopper up the middle, Torres cuts it off in front of 2nd, and he throws for Clement moving on to 3rd. He gets him but on relay he's safe and the call will be overturned. An attempt at a brilliant play, but it's dumb baseball for two reasons. One is what Flats mentioned, you can't surprise Cabrera like that and expect him to be in position for the tag play. Even worse, if you fail to get him, it's 1st and 3rd, nobody out, instead of man on 3rd, 1 out, and you've brought Guerrero into this inning. Accidentally clicked the like button instead of the edit button, I'm not in the habit of liking my own replies. You can unlike it by clicking the like button again.

Example # 27B. Teflon Torres. The error sticks to Trevino…

Man this team is making sloppy plays. They have a special team but need to button up the fundamentals.

Fb down the middle, and Bichette smacks it up the middle for a RBI single, and though Burdi gave up the walk and the single, THAT run is on YOU, Gleyber.
5-1 Jays, 1st and 2nd, 2 down for Turner.

The first 14 games were sort of good, the last three terrible... I am worried we are starting to see the real team, marginal hitting, poor pitching and terrible defense..

FB up and in, popped in the middle of the infield, Cabrera has to climb the mound to catch it, as Burdi scrams towards the Jays' dugout. Inning over. Top 7, 5-1 Jays.
Torres, make sure you overswing this at bat to "make up' for the two misplays that cost the Yanks at least one run and possibly two last inning. He'll be followed by Verdugo and Trevino.
