We're moving beyond the expiration of the spring excuse for Judge. Is he still hurt? He looks lost.

Hanging slider change at the top of the zone, Clement hammers it down third, but Cabrera dives to his backhand to take away a double with a brilliant play. 1 down.

Schneider takes a slider outside for strike 2. Missed by an inch or two, but Hamilton got the call. He's 1-1 vs. Hamilton with a RBI double. Fools him with a slider going down and away, K. 2 down.
Boone pulls Hamilton for Gonzalez with Varsho coming up. Ferguson down at 23 pitches.

We're moving beyond the expiration of the spring excuse for Judge. Is he still hurt? He looks lost. I'm almost praying he's playing through a minor ouchie. Because one alternative explanation is that he's lost some bat speed. With 8 years left on his contract. Probably just an early season slump. Varsho grounds the 1-0 to Torres left, he again plays it on the side, only this time, he fields it and throws him out, inning over. Top 9, 4-2 Jays. Stanton, Verdugo and Cabrera for the Yanks. Times are hard when you're looking forward to Cabrera's at bat in that inning.

Swanson comes in with a 2 run lead to try to close it out. 1st appearance of the season, he's been an excellent reliever since the M's moved him out of the rotation.
Stanton 1-2 with a RBI vs. Swanson. 1-1 count.

Hanging splitter down and in at 85, and Stanton puts it into low earth orbit, solo HR cuts the lead to 1, 4-3.

3-1 on Torres, Yanks need to get to Swanson before 1) he figures his slot out, or 2) Schneider realizes he won't and lifts him for Romano. Hanging splitter smacked back up the middle past Bichette's lunge for a single. Man on 1st, nobody out, Verdugo up.
