yup improbable comeback. many heros in this one. obviously judge with the go ahead hit. stanton w the HR to get things started. and of course soto on base all 5 times. ridiculous. Indeed a team effort to steal a win.

FB down the middle, and Soto belts a high fly to right that carries well out for a solo HR. Score is now Jays 4, Soto 2.

ocab had 2 hits as well. looks like stroman had a decent start getting into the 6th. holmes was efficient closing it out. bullpen can rest up w the off day tomorrow. 3 game losing streak over. can open the window. no reason to jump :-)

Yanks comeback from the "mostly dead" (Hat tip: Billy Crystal as Miracle Max in The Princess Bride) to score 5 in the last three innings and win 6-4. Will hang on to 1st for at least one more day. Still 1/2 game up on the O's, and push the Jays back to 3 games behind. At the moment, they're 2 1/2 up on the Rays, and 3 1/2 up on the Red Sox.
3rd star of the game: Stroman, for fighting his way through 5 1/3 innings to keep it close, and Trevino for coming off the bench to deliver the game-tying single. 2nd star: Judge for the game breaking hit with the game tied in the 9th. 1st star: Soto again, 3 for 3 2 BB, RBI double, solo HR and passing the baton to Judge in the 9th after falling behind 1-2 on a bad call.
Honorable Mention: Schneider, for his inept handling of the Jays' pen in the 9th.

Yanks have a short trip home and will get a full day of rest before the Rays come to the Bronx for three starting on Friday.
Game 1 Friday evening at 7:05 on YES, Clarke "The Coney Island Cyclone of starting pitchers" Schmidt vs. Tyler Alexander, the ex-Tiger making his fourth start for the Rays. After two bad starts, he pitched a good game against the Giants, and got a win. He's 1-0 with a 6.46 ERA in 3 starts and 15 1/3 innings.
Game 2 is Saturday afternoon at 1:05 on YES again. Nestor Cortes for the Yanks against Rays current staff ace Zack Eflin, who's had two great starts and two bad ones to open the season, he's 1-2 with a 4.63 ERA in 23 1/3 innings so far this year.
Game 3 is Sunday afternoon at 1:35 on YES again. Luis Gil for the Yanks, and ex-Indian/Guardian Aaron Civale for the Rays. He's off to an excellent start this season, 2-1 with a 2.74 ERA and an 0.93 WHIP in 4 starts, with 26 K and just 4 BB in 23 innings so far.
==========
OK, that's going to do it for me this evening. Enjoy the off-day, and I'll "see" you all back here Friday evening. Good night to all. Bye.
Yanks roar back to life and steal one from the Jays, 6-4, to hold on to 1st for another day!!

Couldn't follow the game, so I just read this thread rather than checking the score. Great job guys and thank you! Almost felt like i was listening on the radio.
