Cutter into the top of the zone, and Paredes somehow tops it to the right of the mound, Torres fields near 2nd, runs to the bag and turns a 4-4-3 DP to get Schmidt out of the inning.
Got ahead of all four batters 0-2, still needed 18 pitches and a DP ball to get through the 1st.
Bottom 1, 0-0.

Schmdit gets the DP he needed to work out of some trouble in the first.

Volpe and Soto have never faced Alexander before, Judge is 0-2 against him.

Volpe... FB clips the outside corner, 0-1 Good cutter on the low, outside corner, foul tipped, 0-2 Great change turned over low/away, Volpe chases and K's.
See that, Schmidt, that's called FINISHING A HITTER.

Nice! What dishes did you order?
Soto's ABs are must see TV. I may be multitasking during other parts of the game, but I always drop everything and focus when he's up to bat.
Walnut glazed shrimp, steamed dumplings, shrimp in garlic sauce, steamed rice. Â I am having withdrawals from not enjoying crawfish season yet, so I am supplementing my DTs with shrimp! Â Sounds great. My wife has been away visiting her sisters in New York so I had Chinese takeout myself tonight. Not as elegant as Rizz -- old-fashioned General Tso Chicken. With a Plymouth Navy Strength Gin Martini for my appetizer.

Sinker on the low outside corner, Soto doesn't get the Soto-call. Cutter about the same spot on the plate by on the high outside corner, called a ball. Sinker misses inside by about 2 inches, 2-1. Sinker on the outer 3rd waist high, Soto gets under it, flies to center, 2 down.
It must be fun for the Rays to have a pitcher who can retire 2 good hitters on just 7 pitches.

Cutter outside and low, 1-0 to Judge Slider backs up outside, 2-0 Cutter outside above the knees, 3-0. Sinker waist high, outer 3rd, 3-1
Or, Nelson, the Yankee hitters better start looking outside and taking this bum to right. Sinker maybe got the inside corner, 3-2 Slider thigh high middle, but Judge is late and under fouls it off.

Alexander hit the spot he wanted on the 90 mph sinker down and in, but it missed the zone for ball 4. Alexander wanted that one but it wasn't a strike.
