Again, Nestor humped up a bit on the final FB, 93.3
Tougher inning for Nestor. 19 pitches and 70 through 4. 36 in the last two innings. Yanks need to strike and give Nestor some cushion, he'll be facing the top of the Rays order for the 3rd time next inning.
Unfortunately, it's Grisham, then Cabrera and then Jones. So...unlikely.

Nestor got lucky the Jays made Caballero bunt, because while Siri is dangerous, he has lots of holes to pitch too, and Pinto is a defense first catcher.
0-1 on Grisham.
Cutter hits the top edge of the zone, not called. Grisham got a break there.
Curve low, 2-1
Sinker at the knees in the middle, and he rolls over it to Mead, who gloves it moving toward first, turns and throws him out, 1 down.

This inning is going way too fast and easy.
Rolls over a cutter to short, Caballero fields and throws him out, inning over.
Very easy and fast inning for Eflin, just 8 pitches, and through 5, he's now at 66 pitches, 4 less than Nestor.
Four straight 1-2-3 innings for Eflin and 13 in a row retired since Rizzo's bloop hit in the 1st that moved Soto to 3rd with 2 down.
He's a good pitcher, but he's not THIS good.

And Nestor has to right back out there after a somewhat tough 5th inning, to face the top of the Jays order for the 3rd time.

Diaz gets a slider in a bad spot, thigh high middle-in, but fouls it off. Nestor got lucky there.
FB way up and in, 1-1
FB up and in fouled off.
FB up in the zone, but not in enough, and Diaz pulls it past Volpe's dive to his right for a leadoff single.
