www.mlb.com/cubs/news/anthony-rizzo-slide-was-interference/c-278822572If you haven't seen it there's video in the middle of the video in the link above What's your opinion on it? Personally, I think it's good ol' fashion hard ball. I LOVE the game played like this. I don't think it was dirty... dirty would be trying to cause injury... I don't think he set out to injure... just to break up the potential double play.

It wasn't dirty. Might have been interference though.

It wasn't dirty. Might have been interference though. Maybe... but I see a lot of people saying it was "dirty" And I think more players should slide feet first than head first into home plate... since they took out runner over the catcher (which I don't agree with)... I liked collisions at the plate... they want to bring more young fans to baseball? Bring back collisions at the plate!!! (okay, that's a little bit of hyperbole..) I'm not sayin go all Pete Rose and run the catcher over at the allstar game or all Tampa Bay and run over Cervelli in Spring Training.. but in the play offs.... catcher blocking the plate.. Run his ass over!! Since that plays taken out.. I'd rather see feet first slides than diving in hand first. I think there's less chance of injury to the slider and I think the catcher will be more timid of a player goin in spikes up...

He appears to violate rule 6.01 regarding the bona fide slide. I would say that since a rule is violated, some might call that dirty baseball. I would also say that the rule is written in such a manner that it appears that MLB is trying to do all they can to facilitate allowing women to play in MLB within a few years. I can't wait until they allow breast-feeding in the dugout and time outs for broken nails...As for my vote, no. Not dirty...The catcher failed to clear a path, which is also pussy baseball at it's finest as created by MLB...

And our culture
