Just curious, is anyone going to watch the ball drop in Philadelphia tonight? I'm in on it... Is it New Years in Philly? I had to think about that for a second. I don't understand the 9 PM start.

Threw him four FBs, two well within the zone and Rizzo couldn't hit either one.
Rutschman, Mountcastle, and Santander for the O's
The pitches hit for the three solo HRs: slider, FB and cutter, so Rodon doesn't have a pitch he can avoid.

Another missed opportunity. Seems as though 1/2 of Rizzo’s outs this year have been pop ups in that part of the infield. Strange….

Another missed opportunity. Yep, a running theme in this series. Slider on the inside corner taken, 0-1 Slider low, swung over, 0-2 Starts to swing on the bounced slider, but checks in time. Broke the wrists, but not called. Marginal, but I think that was a swing. Slider low, 2-2. Slider down below the knees, but not in enough, grounded down 3rd past Cabrera, a leadoff double.

Is it New Years in Philly? It's new years in Philadelphia if 76ers win. I can tell you that the locals in Philly are not optimistic. They are very down on Embiid's history in big games.

FB in the zone up and away, fouled off. FB at the top in the middle, lined just out of Torres' reach goes into right for a hit, Soto cuts it off and holds it to a single, but Rutschman scores easily, 4-1 O's.

Dang, seems Rodon is unable to stop the carnage.

Gleyber being Gleyber and actually gets charged with an error this time. Maddening.

Woof. Ugly outing for Rodon. Not much he can do when they’re hitting balls that aren’t over the plate. Gleyber trying to fancy things up and drops the ball…

Rodon is done... Get him out or this game will be totally out of control.. The way the Yanks have hit in this series, it might be over already, but the Yanks have two relievers working. Mountcastle goes on the 1st pitch, fouled off the mask, and he has to go back, 0-1 on Santander. Slider inside, Santander takes a huge hack, fouls it back and nearly falls down, tripping all the way across the plate. Slider low, Santander checks well in time, 1-2 Fouls off a Fb on the outer half. FB hit hard up the middle, Volpe makes a terrific backhand stop, backflips to Torres, who once again, tries to do too much, tries to barehand the throw and turn a DP they're not getting anyway, and blows the force at 2nd by dropping the throw instead of just taking the force. Another mental/physical error for Torres. 1st and 2nd, nobody out for Westburg, and now the O's are set up to blow this one wide open.
