Volpe has never faced Miller takes a ball, then a FB in the middle, knee high, 1-1
Fb above the inside corner, 2-1
Slider low 3-1.
Fb up and in, ball 4
Soto is 1-2 vs. Miller, with a K and a BB
Pitching coach comes on, maybe to tell Miller not to give anything good to Soto.
The tactical problem is this, you don't want Volpe CS with Soto up and the go ahead run, but runners were 8 for 9 vs. Miller last year and that's a lot of SB for a reliever.

These guys just stink. unfortunately, our bench is stocked with AAAA players, so not much that we can do but hope at some point a couple of them figure it out.  |

Perfectly spotted FB runs back and catches the low inside corner, Soto doesn't get the Soto-call, 3-2
He's not happy, but that probably was a strike.
