Soto base hit the other way. In my opinion, anyone that wants to learn the basics of good hitting should copy Soto. Soto hardly leaves the strike zone, and he takes what the pitcher and defense gives him. The perfect example was how the Astros defensive played off the line, while Verlander threw a pitch to the outside part of home plate. Soto hit the ball the other way and started what turned out to be a rally. |

meyers grounds as tonkin eventually closes it out but not w/o some drama not helped by berti's throwing error. yankees win 10-3. go 11 over for the 1st time since last june 4, the day after judge crashed into the wall. yankees really stepped on the astros throats tonight.
