Looked like Grisham had a beat on it but he couldn't make the play. I have to think Young Inger catches that ball. In fact, I think Judge makes that play.

Arozarena works the count full, then gets a hanging slider just outside the zone, waist high, belts it toward the corner in left, Verdugo has no play, it's another RBI double and this one's likely over.
Hamilton coming in for another relatively low leverage appearance. It would seem that he and Weaver have exchanged roles. Hamilton will face Rosario and Paredes, at least, 6-2 Rays now.

Looked like Grisham had a beat on it but he couldn't make the play. Why do I feel like Judge would have had that? In any event, the Rays have hit the ball much harder than us today. We’re losing on merit…

Ian Hamilton has gone from 8th inning guy to pitching mop up.

Tanyon Sturtze should have been in a game called “Forget this Yankee.”…

Slider/change to Rosario bounced foul off 3rd. 0-1. Slider in hit hard up the middle, deflects off Hamilton to Volpe's left, Volpe recovers and looks at 3rd to get Arozarena, but Cabrera got caught watching the pain dry, didn't move to cover and there's no play. 1st and 3rd, 1 out, and Paredes up.

Parades takes a strike and ball, then lifts a slider outside to Soto in medium right, Arozarena outruns the throw home and scores, 7-2 Rays, 2 down man on 1st.
Ramirez up.

Soto made that closer than I thought it would be.

I’m constantly amazed how many of the. “name the Yankees” have played with 6-8-10-more teams. Suitcase Simpson would be Stable Simpson today…

Probable crossup, the Fb that wasn't that wild gets by Trevino for a wild pitch. Slider away, bounced to Torres, throws out Ramirez, inning over.
Rays tack on 3 and basically put this one away. Yanks down 7-2, going top 8.
Judge, Verdugo and Elite #5 Hitter Berti™ due in for the Yanks.

Phil Maton doesn't throw hard but has a great slider and curve. He's pitching the 8th Cutter low 1-0 on Judge Slider at the knees, taken, 1-1 Curve outside chased, 1-1 Curve thigh high in the middle, grounded to Paredes for the 1st out
