Notifications checked. Cards O's still in a rain delay, still 1-1 top 6 in St. Louis. I'm just gonna go ahead and anticipate and O's win in that one.
If so, the Yanks will lead the O's by 1, the Sox move back into 3rd, 7 1/2 back, the Rays drop to 4th, 8 games back and the Jays stay 10 1/2 back.
===================
Pacers took a 4 pt lead with 4:15 left, but White hits a 3 pointer to cut it to 1, Celts get a rebound, Tatum misses a 3 with 3:30 left.Nesmith hits a circus layup and gets fouled, Pacers up by 4 with 3:18 left now.
And that'll do it for me tonight See you guys tomorrow evening.
Horford three makes it 1 again, 2:5o Siakim hits a jumper and it's 3 again, 2:33 leaft.
Bye.

Lost three out of four to Baltimore and now two in a row to Seattle. You don't want to get a reputation for not being able to beat winning teams.

Didn't read game comments so I apologize if I'm beating a horse. Team was really flat for most of the game, thought they would come out with more purpose after a tough loss. Seattle's pitcher was good but also thought our hitters were a bit undisciplined. Thought Gleyber's HR might be a spark but have to say Boone made some curious BP choices that cost us any realistic chance at a come from behind win.

Boone is at his best with the bullpen when his choices are limited. We don’t want Boone thinking or with multiple options.

I gave up on this one early at 2-0 and went to bed. Yankees appeared to be sleeping on their feet. Did not check the box score until this morning, hoping for a surprising result. Seattle is a team that requires being aggressive with two strikes and no nibbling. They are a patient bunch who wait for mistakes and play solid defense.

We don’t want Boone thinking or with multiple options. people kill boone over his bullpen usage. i usually try to "understand" the moves and there generally is a "logic" behind them. though his hands were tied w holmes and hamilton unavailable, he pretty much admitted he should have brought ferguson in there. seems in the heat of the moment, he gave the new guy a shot, thinking it was an ok matchup and wanting to see what he could do. he found out. back to scranton he goes. even if you bring in burdi instead, he also allowed a HR. he was probably saving weaver in case we got the lead.
looking forward to adding kahnle to the mix.

Schmidt said he thought he was tipping pitches. Sevy used to say that all the time and I often wondered if it got in his head. bleacherreport.com/articles/10122143-yankees-clarke-schmidt-thinks-he-tipped-pitch-on-hr-by-mariners-dylan-moore-in-loss

Schmidt wasn't nibbling. He flat out didn't have command. His knuckle curve was all over the place and his cutter was a Dr. Jeckyll and Mr. Hyde. Either it was great and inducing swings and misses, or it induced hard contact. Clarke didn't have much of an arsenal last night and he kept the team in the game despite that. As far as Stroman is concerned, with his stuff at this point in his career, he has to nibble. Command and deception is his game.

looking forward to adding kahnle to the mix. I think the bigger problem was the guy was on the big league roster to begin with. Cashman certainly had better options.

He's not the Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy of Company B, because watching and listening to the Andrews Sisters is much more entertaining.
