Error on Crawford pulled down, Verdugo given a hit now.. Change outside corner thigh-high, fouled off. FB at the top inside middle, swung under, 0-2 30th pitch of the inning coming. FB misses outside by 2-3 inches, Trevino tries to walk it off, but it was a clear ball outside, 1-2 Trevino argues but shouldn't. Fb with some cut (?!?) on it at 97.8 gets a swing over and the K anyway. Big big eye of the needle at bat and K by Gil there.
Gil strikes out the side, but also walks two, and needs 32 pitches to get through the 6th, he's at 96 total, and is probably done for today.
Bottom 6, 2-0 Yanks.
Bottom of the order for the Yanks in their half of the 6th: Torres, Cabrera and Trevino. Let's see if the M's stay with Castillo.

Torres... Slider nicks the high outside corner, 0-1 Slider outside and down, 1-1 Sinker runs in on Gleyber, ties him up completely, his nubber close to the 1st base line, fielded by Thornton, who tags Torres halfway up the line, 1 down.

Cabrera, slider high, 1-0 Slider in the zone down and in, rolled to France, but takes a weird bounce to his right and gets by him, scored an error. He never touched it, and still scored an error.

I thought those two big 3 run HR's Gleyber recently hit would get him going but that hasn't been the case.

Slider into the top of the zone, outer 3rd, 0-1 Slider starts at Trevino, bends onto the inner half, 0-2 Slider turns left, finishes 3 inches outside, chased for the K. 2 down.

Cabrera, slider high, 1-0 Slider in the zone down and in, rolled to France, but takes a weird bounce to his right and gets by him, scored an error. He never touched it, and still scored an error. That looked like the hardest play of the three that we've talked about.

Volpe takes a thigh high slider 2-3 inches outside, 1-0 Almost the exact same spot, but a slower sweeper, called a strike inexplicably. Blown call, should be 2-0, but it's 1-1 Volpe chases a slider outside, misses, as Cabrera goes for 2nd. the Ump rules him safe, but he might be out. M's will challenge. Tag is on the shoulder, but his finger might have been on the bag. Todd thinks it's an obvious overturn, but I'm not as sure.

He may be out but it's a lot closer than Frazier was saying.

That looked like the hardest play of the three that we've talked about. Yeah, that was a terrible weird hop, tough scoring call against France. SB safe call overturned, Cabrera out, inning over. Top 7, 2-0 Yanks I doubt he'll put Gil back out there for the 7th, but Boone has been trying to steal extra outs from his pitchers all series, usually with bad results. 4-5-6 for the M's, whoever is doing the pitching: Garver, Canzone and Rodriguez.

He may be out but it's a lot closer than Frazier was saying. That's what I thought. The glove is down near Cabrera before the hand is on the bag, but I wasn't sure he hit the shoulder before Cabrera's finger touched 2nd.
