Change stays in the drop the bat happy zone down and in, and Soto lowers the boom on it, hammers it to right center, Tatis takes an inexact route again, not realizing how hard it was hit, makes a lunging leap, and it sails just over him, Soto winds up at 2nd with a RBI double, 1-0 Yanks!!!
What is there to say?..Soto does it again. He's just a joy to watch.

Nope, FB above the top outside corner, Verdugo with the late spoil.
Now the splitter, diving below the knees, swung early and over it, K. inning over.
Bottom 6, 1-0 Yanks.
Schmidt threw 9 pitches in the 5th, and is at 90 if he starts the 6th.
Padres will send up Cronenworth, Machado and Peralta in their half of the inning.
