Every Padre OF (Profar, Merrill, Tatis) originally a SS So were Machado and Cronenworth, I think. Cutter inside to Peralta, he pops it up near the far side of the Yankee double, Trevino races over, makes a great sliding try but can't quite get there. As long as he didn't hurt himself I'm OK with that. Swings over a curve down and in, 0-2 Cutter at the top, fouled back. Back leg knuckle curve, Peralta tries to check, but can't. Home plate ump rings him up himself, K, 1 down.

Kim... Sinker above the knees, outer 3rd, taken Slider low/away, 1-1 Slow curve starts at his body, breaks over the inner 3rd, freezing him, 1-2 Curve well outside, Kim lunges and barely fouls it. Slider well outside, 2-2

Rangers leading Panthers 4-2 ...after two periods. I have no idea how. Cutter outside by 4-5 inches, Kim chases and fouls, still 2-2 Sinekr near middle, spoiled Cutter well outside, 3-2 Kim has worked it back from 1-2....to a walk, as another cutter misses 4-5 inches outside for ball 4. Terrible job with Kim there.

Verdugo works the count to 3-1, then gets under a cutter and pops to Machado behind 3rd for the final out. Bottom 4, 0-0. Easy 1-2-3 for Musgrove, 10 pitches and 56 through 4. Peralta, Kim and Merrill for the Padres in their 4th. Sorry about the delays in the PBP and missing pitches, but so much going on with the Rangers, I'm finding it impossible to keep up with every pitch here. You’re doing fine. Get the essence of joy out of life…

Schmidt had a chance to get out of this inning with a few pitches, but Kim changed that.

Schmidt bends but doesn't break. This looks like a four inning bullpen game.

Also went from a fast inning to another long one. Also clears Higgy for the 5th inning. Curve into the zone away, swung on and missed Throw over.
Slider near middle, but Higgy misses, fouls it, 0-2 Curve misses way low and away, 1-2 Tries to back the sinker over the corner misses at least 6 inches outside, and Schmidt wanted that one? Wishcasting, not close. Higgy takes a wild hack at a cutter at least 8-10 inches high, misses for the K, inning over.
Top 5, 0-0 20 pitches for Schmidt in the 4th and 81 through 4.
He'll have to face Arraez, Tatis and Profar without his good stuff and for the 3rd time in the 5th, and with a high pitchcount to boot.
If I were Boone I'd have Kahnle throwing lightly behind him to start the inning. Boone won't, because of "confidence" or something. Stanton, Rizzo and Torres for the Yanks in the 5th.

Rays and Red Sox have won, Jays lost, and the O's are up 2-0 in the 7th, looking for a sweep of the woeful White Sox after a long rain delay held things up.

Big dropping curve winds up just below the knees, swung over, 0-1 on Rizzo Curve stays outside, 1-1 Slider drops sharply to the bottom of the zone inner 3rd, swung over, 1-2 FB above the zone, taken, 2-2 FB at the top, inner 3rd, again Rizzo gets the hands in, again he hits it hard back to him, nut he catches the line drive almost casually to the glove side of his body on the follow through of his motion, 2 down.
