FB inner half at 96, Schnauel fouls it off. FB misses 2-3 inches outside, waist high, 1-1 FB on the corner away, waist high, chopper goes right to Cabrera at 3rd, throws him out, inning over.
Another 1-2-3 for Rodon, this one 14 pitches and he was throwing hard, 96-7 every FB. 73 pitches through 6. He might stay in for the 7th, but it looked like he was emptying the tank to me. Not sure.
Top 7, 2-1 Yanks.
Verdugo, LeMahieu and Torres for the Yanks in the 7th, probably against a different pitcher.

I was out at my wife's police department awards dinner but I did see the replay. It's 100% the correct call. Yeah, that's what I thought. Unfortunate for Soto, but he did move and there was contact, and Neto didn't catch it. They call that every time. It's not "unfortunate for Soto" in my opinion. The base is a safe haven in that situation. Once the IFF was called, Soto needed to get back to the base. Knowing how savvy a player Soto is, I'm pretty sure he lollygagged back to second just to create a little distraction, although he likely didn't intend to make contact. Although interference by rule doesn't require contact, MLB is very hesitant to call it without actual contact.

Mavericks wrapped up their conference finals, beating the Timberwolves by 21. Dallas may have teams in both the NBA and NHL finals.

OK now I have to check out. Nice interview with Billy Crystal. He is a Yankee fan and knows baseball but is fun. He's a true baseball fan and especially a Yankee fan. I remember him as a stand up comedian and on the prime time comedy "Soap." A show that was ahead of its time.

Cimber, the sidearming slowballing righty is in.
Slider way outside, 1-0 on Verdugo FB inside, 2-0 FB well outside, 3-0 Get it over FB taken, 3-1 FB at the knees in the middle, Verudgo takes an enormous Reggie Jackson fall to one knee swing, but fouls it off. 3-2 Slider near the low inside corner, pulled hard but well foul off 1st. FB misses 3 inches inside waist high. Cimber gives it a long look, but it wasn't close. Ball 4.

Verdugo goes on the 1st pitch, and LeMahieu gets a nothing FB near middle, chops it through the open right side for a hit, Verdugo gets to 3rd without a throw. If a hit and run call, good call.

Gleyber, what the hell are you swinging at that for? Slider hangs nearly a foot inside, he opens wide up, misses late and under and pops it to Schnauel near the Angels' dugout. Terrible choice.
