I never get tired of seeing those overhead shots of the Stadium and Polo Grounds. Polo Grounds...very weird place. Saw the Mets there a few times their 1st 2 years before Shea was built. |

Sinker low and away, 2-0
Pulls off a cutter that disappears just low and outside the zone, 2-1
Cutter on the outside corner, below the waist, Soler is bluffed into taking it, 2-2
Slurve well outside knee high, taken
Be careful where you chanllenge here, Marcus
Sinker in the zone above the knees outside middle, but Soler misses under, drops his head, the short fly to center, Grishman gets their late, catches and Bailey misreads entirely, and Grisham throws on the move, catching both Bailey and Rizzo off 1st, but Rizzo gets the tag down for a TOOTBLAN DP.
Bailey makes a smart play, then a dumb one.

Chases a slurve low, fouls it, 1-2
Cutter up and in, chased and fouled.
Slider near the low outside corner, Wisely rolls it over to Torres, easy play, inning over.
Top 6, 3-1 Yanks.
The baserunning screwup gives Stroman another short inning, just 12 pitches and 58 through 5.
Judge, Verdugo and Torres for the Yanks in the 6th.

I've gotta admit it, I totally misjudged Soler as a young player. I thought he was going to be a star. He's had a 10 year career in MLB, but never made it big.

Sinker well low, called a strike anyway, Bad call, not close about 3-4 inches low on Gameday.
Sinker outside, 1-1
Slider low, 2-1
Sinker low 3-1.
Sinker hangs in the zone, thigh high, inner 3rd, and belted out to just to the right of dead center. 2nd HR of the night for Judge, his 20th of the season, and the Yanks lead grows to 4-1!!
