Usually he hits left handers well. Rizzo's play this year is indicative of the decline that eventually catches up to all baseball players. He's a hair slower on defense which has made him make some atypical errors or he doesn't make plays he typically would. Lefties that face lefties and hit them well usually rely on good bat speed and good vision. Both of those start to go as you get older. That's about right, nw, and good evening to you.

One of these days that batting helmet coming of Volpe’s head is going to create an issue…

It amazes me that a professional athlete has to run 40 feet and make a throw and everyone has to go out and check to see if he's ok.

Slider misses inside above the knees, 1-0 on Soto Sinker to the knees, inner half, taken 1-1 Sinker below and outside middle, but Soto rolls over on it to Estrada, who throws him out.
Nice 1-2-3 for Hicks again, 16 pitches, and 89 through 5. Might be all for him, not sure.
Bottom 5, 3-1 Yanks. 5-6-7 for the Giants, Bailey, Soler and Wisely.

I never get tired of seeing those overhead shots of the Stadium and Polo Grounds. Nice ball park, but like a song that gets over played on the radio you can start to hate it…

Stroman can't get his landing spot, so they have to stop the game to fix the mound.

Good evening qwik. The only good thing about Rizzo is that we're not stuck paying him long into his decline. As much as his buddy Judge may not like it, Rizzo may lose some ABs in September to Augustin Ramirez.

OK, Stroman finishes his warmups, and the mound seems OK to him now. Bailey steps in.

Slider inside corner, push bunt goes right past Stroman who had no shot, Cabrera barehands but the throw is way to late, leadoff bunt single for Bailey.

One of these days that batting helmet coming of Volpe’s head is going to create an issue… Remember Eduardo Nunez? His helmet came off all the time when he was running the bases.
