Verdugo gets a big break, FB on the corner inside, above the knees not called, at least 30% on Gameday. Lucky.
And he capitalizes on the break
Change inner 3rd, and Verdugo drops the bat on it, lines it over 1st into the RF corner for a two run double to tie the game.
Was not a FB, Paulie, just 85 mph on the pitch.
Anyone but Stanton scores and it's probably a triple. Ah, well.

I will keep saying with every game I'm more impressed with Verdugo. A 2 run double ties the game. In the middle of his at bats, a pitcher change would made for difficulties to adjust. When it's needed, Verdugo delivers!
The guy is making himself necessary.

Nope, tops a change near middle, slow roller to short, Schmitt picks it up and throws him out to end the inning.
Bottom 5, tied at 3, and maybe Nestor stays in now.
Top of the order for the Giants in their 5th, Ramos, Wisely and Flores.
