Afraid DJ is washed. Rizzo not far behind him. You might well be right. Ohtani takes a FB above the zone for a strike. Cutter barely off the corner low/away, fouled, 1-2
Cutter misses low 3 inches on the corner away, 2-2. Ferguson turns his back and Trevino starts to throw to 3rd, but it was clearly a ball.

Sinker misses outside at the knees, called a strike anyway, Ferguson gets the bad call there. 0-1
Sinker outside, 1-1
FB near the top outer half, fouled, 1-2
Cutter down and in, bounced foul
Smith caught Ferguson for several years, he should know his stuff as well as anyone.
Cuter misses 4-5 inches away, crowd groans for no reason.

Backdoor slider misses the outside corner by 2-3 inches, again the crowd groans for no reason, 3-2
Sharper, slightly slower slider starts outside and hits the backdoor for the ꓘ. Maybe the best pitch he's thrown this season, fooled Smith completely.
Inning over. Bottom 8, 0-0.
Grisham, Trevino and Volpe due in. Wouldn't be surprised if Soto pinch hits this inning.
