With some veterans struggling and some prospects performing well, I wanted to get some thoughts.

I'm hoping its Stanton as they play Jasson and rotate the DH among the four OFs. But it will probably be Rizzo if he continues his poor play. I voted Stanton though just on my hopes.

AS Inger said in another thread, Rizzo doesn't look happy. Whether it's still concussion related or old age catching up, if PT starts to diminish, I could see him walk away or be placed on longterm IL before seasons end.

I can't say it enough. I'm not fooled with a few HRs. His at bats are mostly ugly, doesn't play the field, doesn't have to run at 100%, waste of a roster spot. I can't wait for him to be out of Pinstripes.

Because of their contracts I think it would be Rizzo instead of Stanton. But in my opinion, trading Stanton would be the Yankees best move.

Unless there is an injury, they are all locks in my opinion, especially if they win their division and maintain the best record in the AL. Cashman likes nothing better than to have "depth" in AAA in case of injury, even if it means the 26 best players are not on the roster. Michael King, Clarke Schmidt, Ron Marinaccio, etc. all had to bide their time just to hang on to the likes of Albert Abreu.

My guess is it's Rizzo's chronically ailing back. When he failed to pick up (not once but twice) that slow roller to fire home, his back problems popped into my mind. He appears not to be using his legs in his swing, which would explain the lack of power and ability to drive the baseball.
