Slider inside, he inside outs a sharp grounder down the 1st base line, DJ dives/slides to grab it behind first, flips backhand to Rodon covering and it's on target allowing Rodon to beat the speedy Witt to the bag by a step. Four-star play at both ends, and keep track of that for later just in case...2 down.

I saw an Indigo Bunting just this afternoon. Beautiful birds. Like this one?  That’s the one Rizz. Even more beautiful is the Painted Bunting. I've only ever seen one, on Jekyll Island GA. |

1-2-3 for Rodon on just 6 pitches, exactly what he needed after the longish 3rd inning. 50 pitches through 4 for Rodon.
Soto, Torres and Verdugo for the Yanks in the 5th.
