Game about to resume. Yanks down 4-0. Mets batting, 2nd and 3rd with 1 out and Taylor up against Caleb Ferguson. The O's got a run in the 7th and another in the 8th and salvaged the last game of the series vs. Cleveland 4-2, breaking their 5-game losing streak. The Sox-Jays in Fenway was sustpended in the 2nd inning, 0-0. To be resumed at some time in the future.

Yoendrys Gomes comes in for the Yanks, as they don't bring back Ferguson after the long delay.

Count was already 1-0 on Taylor before the game was suspended, Gomez will have to pitch from that point.

Infield in for Taylor... Slider misses low/away by plenty, 2-0 Hanging slider in the zone up and in, fouled off, 2-1 Slidder drops below the waist outer 3rd, swung over, 2-2 Slider hanging outside corner waist high, fouled off. Four sliders in a row here. No-chance slider way outside and low, 3-2 Slider in the middle at or just below the bottom, called ball 4. Gameday says it caught the bottome, 10%. Bases loaded, 1 out for Vientos.

Almost strike three. Double play now in order...on the bright side.

That 3-2 pitch is called a strike on Judge about hundred times a season.

Slider drops low, Vientos chases, 0-1 Slider just misses the corner low/away, 1-1 Another bad slider misses by plenty low/away, 2-1 That's 8 straight sliders. Another slider, a good one to the outside corner, Vientos pulls off it, 2-2 Flies open, slider backs up inside, ball 3 Same thing, flies open, backs up inside with anoterh slider, ball 4, forcing in a run, 5-0 Mets.

Rookies shouldn't be able to shake off catchers. Never saw that when Munson was behind the plate.

Change misses inside at the knees, called a strike anyway, 0% on Gameday, but I'll take what I can get here. Slider just below middle, but McNeil bounces it foul off first, 0-2 Change misses low, outside middle, 1-2 Change in the zone low, away, but McNeil pulls a fliner to pretty deep right field, sac fly, Alvarez scores, 6-0 Mets. 2 down and the other runners stay at 1st and 2nd.

FB above and outside middle, belted toward the corner in right, goes well over Soto to the wall for a RBI double, Taylor scores and Vientos to 3rd, 7-0 Mets, and I'm not sure why I put the game back on at this point.

Bader would be hitting cleanup right now if he was still a Yankee.

Lindor takes a curve on the outer 3rd, waist high. Gets a FB up and in, pops it high on the right side, Cabrera calls and catches, inning over.
Top 6, 7-0 Mets. Gomez yields 3rd more runs, not even giving Soto, Judge and Davis a chance to fight back in this one. The lefty Young was warming, so without something very weird happening, he'll be coming in.

Totally expect them to make it like 7-5 for the hell of it.
