Cutter misses 4 inches outside, called a strike for no good reason very bad call, not close on Gameday, 0-1
Misses under a FB just below the top of the zone in the middle, 0-2
FB was supposed to be inside, but misses waist high outside corner, Schneier pulls off it anyway for the K. 2 down.

Varsho takes a cutter outside middle into the top of the zone, 0-1
Change misses low on the inner half, 1-1
Good 2-plane change dives both low and to the outer half, swung over and early, 1-2
Another change in the same spot, but Varsho hits it on the bounce, fouls it off Trevino's throwing hand, still 1-2
Cutter up and in, a good idea changing location and eye level, taken 2-2
Cutter above the zone, jams him a bit, hit pop into no-man's land in right center, but Volpe goes back hard and makes a terrific over-the-shoulder grab, sliding down after in a bit of what Cone calls "eyewash". Inning over.
Top 8, 7-5 Yanks
Judge, Davis and Verdugo for the Yanks in the 8th.
Weaver needed 26 pitches to get through the 7th, so Kahnle gets the 8th I think, he's on just 2 days' rest, so his command should be OK. For him, I mean.

Gets the green light on 3-0, gets a FB on the corner away, late and under, fouled off, 3-1.
FB inside middle, he inside outs it to Horwitz' left into right for a single. 1st and 2nd, 1 down for Verdugo.
