Trevino works the count to 1-1, hits a sharp grounder to the right of 2nd, might've been a DP, but took a hard hop on India as he slid to his right, he does get the force to De La Cruz, 1 down.

Volpe grounds 1-1 cutter up the middle, De La Cruz fields on the right side of 2nd, then has to cut back fast just to be Trevino there for the force, 2 down.

Maybe it' for time to pull Gil from the starting rotation for a start or two and let Blake work with him, Also, it's time to think about the bullpen with the amount innings thrown this season.

Swings over a slider in the zone down and in, 1-2
Bounces a sinker, 2-2
Cutter on the outer 3rd, topped back to Ashcraft, flips to 1st, inning over.
Top 6, 5-0 Reds.
13 pitches in the 5th for Ashcraft, 68 through 5.
7-8-9 for the Reds in the 6th, Marte, Fairchild and Benson.

Candelario. It's FIVE starts now, Mikey. Works the count to 3-2 as Ferguson has been scared out of the zone, but the De La Cruz bomb. Cutter hits the outside corner at the top, and Candelario starts walking to first, but it was in fact, stike 3. 40% on Gameday. Four starts ago, Gil pitched at Fenway and just gave one run in 5 innings. I'll take that every time from a rookie starter against the Red Sox. I know what the box score says, chi, but you and I both watched that game on ESPN Sunday Night Yecch Cast, and he was in trouble every inning from the 3rd inning on, and it took him 104 pitches to make it through 5. |

Sinker barely clips the outside corner above the knees, 2-1
Yanks the sinker, bounces it outside again, 3-1
Sinker stays outside, above the knees, ball 4.

Slider starts at Fairchild breaks right down the middle thigh high, taken 0-1
Throw over
Yanks the sinker low/away, and Cousins looks nothing like he did his last two games.
Hanging slider away, pulled down 3rd, DJ fields and gets the force at 2nd, Torres has to stretch across 2nd, and by the time he can set and throw to first, Fairchild beats the relay. 1 down.

Bends a slider into the zone outside middle, 0-1
Another slider winds up in the drop the bat happy zone below and inside middle, but lucky for the Yanks, he takes strike 2.
Slider bounces down and in, 1-2
Sinker outside middle above the knees, Benson lines it right to Torres, who throws to first, but Fairchild gets back, 2 down.

Fairchild goes, sinker in the zone low just outside middle,chopped toward the 56 hole, DJ cuts it off, throws him out, inning over.
Bottom 6, 5-0 Reds, and if the Yanks don't get to Ashcraft here, they're probably not going to at all.
Judge, Verdugo and Torres for the Yanks in the 6th.
