Sinker outside middle, Marte takes it, 0-1 Sinker waist high, outside corner, chopped to 3rd, Cabrera must charge and cut across to play the short hop, fields, transfers awkwardly but the throw is on target and beats Marte by a step, 1 down.

Fairchild PH for Martini. Tops a sinker low in the zone to the left side, again Cabrer cuts in and over to cut it off, throws him out, 2 down.

Traded for future Hall of Famer (Rickey Henderson).
Then traded for someone that should be in the Hall of Fame (Dave Parker).

Maile takes a sinker just outside, called a strike anyway. Marginaal bad call there, could've gone either way. Sinker right down the middle, Maile chops it up the middle, Torres fields behind 2nd and with all the time in the world, makes the casual side-arm flip, and it's high and off line to the home plate side, but Rice comes off and catches, looks to tag Maile, but he's not running all out, and Rice simply jogs a couple of steps to the bag to end the inning.
Very easy 1-2-3 for Hill on just 5 pitches. Bottom 6, 5-2 Reds. Verdugo, Torres and Volpe for the Yanks in the 6th. Montas starts the inning at 92 pitches. I'm assuming he's staying in because the Reds almost certainly don't have both Cruz and Diaz for a 3rd straight game.

Fairchild the Reds current best defensive CF goes to center, with Benson replacing Martini in left.
================ Verdugo takes a strike on a splitter in the zone up and away. Slider in the drop the bat happy zone down and in, lined over 1st and into the corner in right for a leadoff double.

Maile goes out to stall while the Reds get the reliever a few more pitches. And now Bell comes to take out Montas. Mick Martinez in for the Reds. They probably want him to get throught the 7th at least. He's got a long enough arm to get through the 8th if he's on his game.

Wells and Rice! Nice to see. I know both have more pop that they’ve shown…

Drops a slow curve into the high outside corner, Torres rightly takes it, 0-1 Wrongly chases a FB well high, 0-2 FB up and in, tries to block it off, go to right center, but it jams him a bit, his fly goes to right center, caught by Fairchild, Verdugo tags and moves to 3rd with 1 out. Reds bring the infield in for Volpe.

Infield in, up by 3. They're challenging Volpe to not hit a ground ball.

Change taken on the corner away, 0-1 Checks in time on a curve low/away, 1-1 Sinker runs inside but also well low, 2-1 Change dives well low on the inner 3rd, soft tapper to short, De La Cruz charges, fields and fires home and Maile just gets the tag on Verdugo's ribs before the hand hits home. 6-2 out takes the runner out of scoring position with 2 down.
