I made this comment the other day when someone had an issue with the batting order... I said my only issue is when they bat the pitchers 8th bc I dont understand the reason. Can someone please explain it? Boone did it last interleague series as well.

yeah, I get the comments........I have problem with the continuing archaic system of forcing AL pitchers to hit anywhere in the lineup...cannot the players union force that issue?....the pitchers as a whole, AL and NL probably don't want to hit...the guys who would be getting DH spots don't want the pitchers to hit......the AL owners surely don't want their pitchers to hit....MLB is hostage to the minority opinion of the NL owners, I guess(?)
