The Baltimore Orioles are playing .500 since June 1st. On one hand that’s great or else the Yankees could be eight or nine back. On the other hand we should be games up in the division. Another loss for Baltimore today as they can’t win to save their scrotums lately.

Anyone who saw the latest Yankee game should realize by now that we're in for yet another of Boone's famous "One and done" or "two and through" post seasons. I love the Yankees, but to be honest, what I've enjoyed most about this season has been watching Soto and Judge do their thing. There's no way this team will go far at all in the playoffs, let alone win the World Series. I just dread the thought of facing the Astros yet again, regardless of how easily the Yankees man handled them earlier in the season, and we saw how Baltimore demolished the Yankees 2 out of 3 in the Bronx. The O's may stink against everyone else, but they have no fear of these Yankees...nor should they have, since after Soto and Judge, no one in the Yankee lineup has proven to hit on any consistent basis. October is yet another train wreck waiting to happen in Yankee 21st century lore. May they prove me wrong!

Thanks. yeah this guy constantly spewed his negativity on the yes forum. one of those so called "fans" who seem to root against the team to prove their negative view. they're more happy when the team loses so they can say "told you so". one season, after maybe 2 weeks, he proclaimed the season was over. same as "calling" a game with the team down in the 4th inning.

don't know how this season is gonna end. certainly the 44-46 over the last 90 games after the 49-21 start is not confidence inspiring. but we did have an 8-1 and 12-4 sprinkled in there against some pretty good teams. this team needs to play it's best ball to win. believe they can. whether they will or teams even play better ball is to be determined.

I mean lets be real here... 2010 Texas was clearly better than anyone else and the Yankees not bringing back Damon and or Matsui for one more year made the team worse. 2011 Detroit was a buzzsaw for the Yankees they could just never get by for a good 5 years. 2012 Literally exhausted their whole team just to beat Baltimore and then again Detroit in the way + Jeter broken ankle. 2013-14 No Playoffs 2015 Keuchel domination in wildcard game another pitcher the Yankees had major issues with. 2016 No Playoffs 2017 CHEATERS 2018 No one was beating that Red Sox team. 2019 Verlander + Cole + Houston Homefield. Yankees had a good team this year, but Houston was better. 2020 Close series, but Yankees had multiple injuries and the short season didn't really match their play style. 2021 This team actually was pretty good, but Boone rested people the last series putting the WC game in Fenway and we know how that went. 2022 Again Houston was way better. 2023 No Playoffs This is the first time since 2009 you can realistically say there is no clear cut better team than the Yankees in the AL. There's no buzzsaw, impossible to beat, no pitcher the Yankees can't beat, no team they can't beat (They were only swept by the Reds all season in a 3 game series). They never lost more than 4 in a row. They had a 7 and an 8 game winning streak. They lead the AL in most offensive categories. This is honestly their best season going into the playoffs since 2009 and we should have the most optimism in years.

The competition hasn't been much better other than Houston/Detroit: Hou 55-35 Det 52-38 Cle 48-42 Bal 43-47 KC 45-45 Don't forget Detroit is def helped by getting free wins vs CWS. They are a great story, but who knows if that transfers to playoffs. Minnesota also really collapsed (44-46 but lot of those losses were recent). The Yankees have at least 10 losses in that stretch due to Boone dumb lineups etc those lineups won't exist in playoff games.

Boone also played with a cushion in mind all year leading to some of those losses. The Yankees never trailed in the wc standings I don't think ever? Most they were even behind in the division was 3. The bad month was also the month without Stanton.

I'll let the Yankee bats speak for themselves...as they are doing yet again today...just in time for their one and done time of the season.

In my opinion, there's nothing wrong with acknowledging that.
